Palmiers

 

 Palmiers is a French pastry in the shape of palm tree leaves. It also resembles elephant ears. This is a way to reuse the trimmed ends of puff pastry (when making vegetable puffs).

 

The elements...

Puff pastry trimmed edges 

Date sugar - a bit

Butter, melted - 1/2 tsp


The method...

Twist the puff pastry into palmier shapes and place on a baking sheet.

 



 

Rub softened butter on them.






 

Sprinkle date sugar. Freeze for 5 minutes. Preheat oven to 200C. Bake for 13 minutes.
