Quinoa with veggies

Dinner today was quinoa and vegetables cooked with puliogare masala. A gentle toss of frozen cut veggies and cooked quinoa with the masala.

Cook a cup of quinoa with 1 and 1/2 cups of water, until the water evaporates. Fluff it with a fork. In a pan, add a bit of oil and some masala. Stir it for a 1 minute and then throw in the the thawed veggies. Saute until the vegetables are mixed with the masala. Add quinoa into the pan and mix around. Add additional salt if required.
              
The latest book I have just completed is by Indian author Aruni Kashyap. "The house with a thousand stories" is very dense. It is set in the North eastern state of India..Assam, at time of insurgency by ULFA. Pablo, a Guwahati city boy visits his native village of Mayong to attend his aunt's wedding. He stays with a joint family. He soon discovers that each member of the house has a story. The book also expounds how the rebels and the surrendered rebels (SULFA) affected the lives of the people in the village and it helped me gain some insight on Assamese life at the ground level during early 2000s.
