Red coconut chutney

It is called chuvanna chammanthi in malayalam. The red color is on account of the dry red chilies which are roasted directly on a flame. The chutney combines well with rice, tapioca and dosa.
The integrants of Mom's yum-yum chammanthi..
Red chili - 3
Coconut, grated - 1/2 cup
Shallots - 2 or 3
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Tamarind - a small piece
The modus operandi...
Roast two red chili directly on flame by sticking it through a skewer. They will bubble up. Grind these, coconut, shallots, salt, tamarind and one more red chili into a fine paste, without adding any water. 
Dig in alongside your favored accompaniement.
