Ivy gourd and beans stir fry

 Ivy gourd, also known as scarlet gourd is called kovakka in malayalam. Its raw fruit which is green in color is cooked as vegetable. A stir fry without coconut is called mezhukkupurartti which means coated with oil.

The additives..
Beans - 150g
Ivy gourd - 150g
Olive oil - 3 tsp
Turmeric powder - a smidgen
Chili powder - 1/4 tsp 
Salt - 1/4 tsp
The process..
Trim ends of ivy gourd and beans. Slice beans into 1 inch pieces. Slit the ivy gourd along its length to get four portions from each. Steam them. Coat the cooked vegetables with salt, turmeric powder and chili powder.
Heat a saucepan and drizzle oil. Add in the farrago of vegetables and spices. Stir fry for 5 to 7 minutes. Get a kick out of the crispiness of the dish!
